Bracketology 2/7/20
The biggest story last night in college basketball was out west, where Gonzaga, BYU and St. Mary's all took care of business. Gonzaga is obviously a lock, and I feel increasingly good about BYU and St. Mary's' at-large chances. The WCC is looking for its first 3 bid year since 2012, possibly more if someone steals a bid.
The committee will reveal their top 16 teams tomorrow afternoon. The team I'm most interested in seeing is Dayton- I've seen the Flyers anywhere between 6th and 11th overall on the seed list, it'll be interesting to see how the committee balances an underwhelming team sheet with fantastic predictive metrics.
1: Baylor, Kansas, San Diego State, Gonzaga
2: Duke, Louisville, Dayton, Florida State
3: West Virginia, Seton Hall, Maryland, Villanova
4: Oregon, Butler, Auburn, Penn State
5: Creighton, Michigan State, Colorado, Illinois
6: Marquette, Iowa, Ohio State, Kentucky
