Bracketology 3/10/11 8:15 PM
This bracket is through all games that have concluded by 8:15 PM Saturday (Colorado/Arizona and Baylor/Missouri were the last 2 games included). Something important to note: in all likelyhood, the order of my bubble teams and who's in and who's out is final (there are no more teams who could be in or out left to play). If St. Bonaventure or UC Santa Barbara win their conference championship games, 1 (or 2, if both win) bids will be stolen and Drexel (and possibly Seton Hall) will get kicked out. There's a slight chance I might shuffle a few bubble teams around by re-evaluating resumes, but I doubt it. Tomorrow morning and tomorrow afternoon I'll probably have a bracket along with the seed lists. All teams that could be in or out of the bracket (in my mind) are in red. Remember odd lines are read left to right and even lines are read right to left so you can read down to find a region. These are the 9 teams who I think are realistically fighting for the last 4 spots in the tournament (in order from best shape to worst):
North Carolina State
South Florida
Seton Hall
Drexel
Mississippi State
Washington
Miami (FL)
Northwestern
Iona (a little bit of a reach, but the committee might want to put 2 mid-majors and 2 power-6 teams in the first 4, and Iona is closer to being in then Colorado State is to being out)
