Bracketology 2/2/14
Notes:
1. Wow. If Syracuse hadn't hung on to beat Duke, all 4 of my #1 seeds would've lost yesterday. As is, Wichita State and Florida move up to the 1 line, replacing Michigan State and Kansas. I thought about keeping Arizona as my #1 overall seed but decided against it in the end. It doesn't really matter- Arizona is almost certainly going to be in the West Region if they get a #1 seed (unless somehow San Diego State passes them).
2. Lots of movement around the bubble. Yesterday, bubble teams actually were pretty successful, notching a number of quality wins, headlined by Cal's victory over Arizona. This means that some bubble teams who had understandable losses (such as Richmond losing to VCU) fell more than you would think.
3. Entering the field are California (beat Arizona) and LSU (beat Arkansas), replacing Missouri (lost to Kentucky) and Richmond (lost to VCU).
4. Southern Miss, UW-Green Bay and Harvard's placements on the lists at the bottom indicate where they would be if they didn't have an autobid.
1: Syracuse, Arizona, Wichita State, Florida
2: Michigan State, Kansas, San Diego State, Villanova
