Bracketology 3/16/19

Most of the bubble teams are done playing, as Temple, Arizona State and Alabama all lost. Florida is the only bubble team still playing, as they have a chance to really seal up a bid today against Auburn. For now, I feel decent about the cut line- any of the First Four Out have a legitimate chance at the field, but my guess is that most bracketologists will have the same 68 teams in as me today. There's some unconventional resumes this year (Arizona State, NC State, Texas, UNCG) this year that makes it difficult to compare to past years. Today, I will have my eye on the bid thieves- San Diego State, Oregon, Bowling Green and Memphis/Wichita State. My guess is that one more bid gets taken and I'll be moving St. John's out of the field if that happens. A lot of bids will be punched today- enjoy!

Well, in the unlikely event that there is an NCAA tournament, here's my projection for it. Stanford really hurt themselves with their loss to Cal, their SOR is almost unprecedentedly bad for an at-large team. Xavier made things really interesting with a loss to DePaul, they're my last team in. The biggest game of the day on Friday was Northern Iowa's loss to Drake in the Arch Madness quarterfinals. I have kept the Panthers as the last team in the field for now, but it's going to be a long wait for them until Selection Sunday. Most of their resume comparisons haven't made the tournament, although their NET remains solid. A massive day awaits today, with nearly every bubble team in action. Bracketology 3/11/20

The last quiet bubble day of conference tournament week is done, with six more bids punched. Robert Morris moves into the field for St. Francis PA after their win in the NEC title game. I was supposed to be heading to Madison Square Garden for the Big East tournament tomorrow and likely up to Cambridge for the Ivy League tournament this weekend.
