Bracketology 2/6/19

A lot of movement in the protected seeds recently- Michigan State, Kansas, Marquette and Virginia Tech all lost in the last 2 days and are trending downwards. This is good news for Kentucky, Purdue and Iowa State, among others, who are strengthening their grips on their pods. At the bubble, the biggest news was probably Utah State's win at Fresno State which led to me jumping them into the field. The Aggies might have just picked up their biggest win of the year although they have a tricky game coming up on Saturday at San Diego State. The 2 bubble games I'm really going to be keeping my eye on in the next few days are on Thursday, where Wofford travels to East Tennessee State (a Q1 opportunity) and Houston goes to UCF.

Well, in the unlikely event that there is an NCAA tournament, here's my projection for it. Stanford really hurt themselves with their loss to Cal, their SOR is almost unprecedentedly bad for an at-large team. Xavier made things really interesting with a loss to DePaul, they're my last team in. Bracketology 3/7/20

The biggest game of the day on Friday was Northern Iowa's loss to Drake in the Arch Madness quarterfinals. I have kept the Panthers as the last team in the field for now, but it's going to be a long wait for them until Selection Sunday. Most of their resume comparisons haven't made the tournament, although their NET remains solid. A massive day awaits today, with nearly every bubble team in action. Bracketology 3/11/20

The last quiet bubble day of conference tournament week is done, with six more bids punched. Robert Morris moves into the field for St. Francis PA after their win in the NEC title game. I was supposed to be heading to Madison Square Garden for the Big East tournament tomorrow and likely up to Cambridge for the Ivy League tournament this weekend.
