Penn State @ Michigan

I am a bit lower on Michigan than most of the other computer models- I still have them at #6, but I don't think they're that much better than the host of playoff contenders in the 5-12 range of the rankings. Penn State is #8 in my rankings- they've had unlucky close games recently, and are still a top 10 team in my mind. I have this line at Michigan -5, they're a bit better than Penn State but not 7.5 points on a neutral field better.

Pick: Penn State +10.5 -106

Louisiana Tech @ Mississippi State

The Conference USA West is pretty strong this year- North Texas flirted with my top 25 a few weeks ago, UAB only has  one loss, and Louisiana Tech is a good team as well. They played LSU decently close a few weeks ago and Mississippi State is a bit worse than LSU. I have this line at Louisiana Tech +14, so I'm on La Tech.

Pick: Louisiana Tech +23.5 -106

Michigan State @ Maryland

Maryland's win over Texas is certainly good, but it is really their only win of note. Rutgers and Illinois might be the 2 worst Power Five teams in the country, and Minnesota is probably the third worst team in the Big Ten. Add in the complete dysfunction surrounding D.J. Durkin's firing this week and I am skeptical of the Terps. Michigan State is back in my top 25 after a nice win over a good Purdue team and should be 8.5 point favorites here, even before accounting for the scandal stuff.

Pick: Michigan State -2.5 -106

Florida Atlantic @ Florida International

For the second week in a row, I'm on FIU. They have still not lost to a G5 team all year, and they demolished Western Kentucky when I was on them last week. I think that the CUSA East will probably come down to the season finale against Marshall (at noon, on Facebook, no less). I don't get why they're still getting no respect here. FAU has been a massive disappointment all season and FIU should be 8 point favorites.

Pick: Florida International -3 +104

Georgia Southern @ UL Monroe

Georgia Southern is another team I have cashed in on consistently all year. They're starting to get a lot more national respect after their win over a ranked Appalachian State team last week. This is my most confident pick of the week- ULM is up to 4-4 now and could still win the Sun Belt West but they really struggled two weeks ago with Texas State, who is one of the worst teams in FBS. I have this line at Georgia Southern -16.

Pick: Georgia Southern -7.5 -103

Air Force @ Army

I was on Air Force last week against Boise State, but this week I'm against the Falcons. Army is still undefeated against G5 teams, and took Oklahoma to overtime in September. I've been on the Black Knights a lot this year, and see no reason to change when they're still not being priced like a borderline top 25 team.

Pick: Army -6.5 -103

Charlotte @ Tennessee

Charlotte isn't good, but they've shown that they can beat up on the truly bad FBS teams, like Western Kentucky. The only FBS teams Tennessee should be a 3 touchdown favorite over are the WKUs and UTEPs of the world, not teams like Charlotte that could eke out 6 wins for a bowl appearance. I have this line only at Tennessee -12.

Pick: Charlotte +21 -110
