Clemson @ Boston College
I've been high on Boston College since the preseason and they're starting to get another round of national hype. Clemson is undoubtedly the number 2 team in the country but I think if there's any team in the ACC who can keep things close with Clemson, it's probably BC. I have this at Clemson -13.5 so the Golden Eagles are the pick.
Pick: Boston College +19.5 -106
Ohio State @ Michigan State
I'm struggling to understand why Ohio State is favored by more than a field goal here. They're consistently in the 6-10 range of most predictive rankings while Michigan State is in the low teens to high 20s. This line is on the wrong side of 3- I have it at Michigan State -1.
Pick: Michigan State +3.5 -108
Louisville @ Syracuse
Louisville was absolutely embarrassed by Clemson last week and has completely come off the rails this year. Syracuse is not the top 15 team that the AP and playoff polls would suggest, but they're good enough that they should be an even larger favorites against one of the worst P5 teams in the country. I have this line at Syracuse -29.
Pick: Syracuse -20.5 -111
Purdue @ Minnesota
I've been consistently backing Purdue all season- I had them in my preseason top 25 and I still have them higher than pretty much anyone else does. Minnesota got blown out by Illinois last week and their early bowl hopes are fading. I still have no clue how they beat Fresno State. This line is low- Purdue is a legitimate top 25 team in the country, I have the Boilers by 19.
Pick: Purdue -11.5 -106
Troy @ Georgia Southern
Georgia Southern was on the brink of the AP top 25 when they shockingly lost to ULM last week. That's the downside of the flexbone offense- when you get down big early it can be difficult to claw back. However, the Eagles still control their own destiny in the Sun Belt East and I like their chances against Troy- I have them as 4 point favorites.
Pick: Georgia Southern +1.5 -106
